KISS on the RockS op RTL4 - donderdag 20.30 uur
Aanstaande Donderdag is het weer zo ver,
de KISS on the RockS aflevering wordt herhaalt,
bij RTL's 'Help mijn man heeft een hobby'!
Dit is de 4e keer dat deze succesvolle show herhaalt wordt,
en weer op prime-time televisie.
Tot dusverre hebben meer dan 2 miljoen kijkers,
kennis kunnen maken met KISS on the RockS,
en deze landelijke bekendheid,
heeft KISS on the RockS geen windeieren gelegd.
Deze show heeft de band ook in de media gebracht bij,
Giel Beelen 3FM, Radio Veronica, De Wereld Draait Door,
en deze winter staat er een nieuw televisie programma op stapel,
waarin KISS on the RockS centraal zal staan.
Om de meest gestelde vraag meteen maar te beantwoorden... ja,
de hoofdpersoon uit deze aflevering heeft de band inmiddels verlaten...

We’re very excited to let you know,
that on November 27th,
Eric Singer will be coming over for our official 2011 Kiss Expo!
Eric will be flying over just for this,
and it will therefore be his only Expo appearance in Europe this year.
He will be joined by Kissonline,
who will bring official merchandise and share,
the latest greatest news.
As always, Kiss dealers from all around the world will be there,
and number 1 tribute band,
KISS on the RockS will perform a classic Kiss show.
There will be regular tickets as well as a limited number of VIP tickets,
for early entry and front of line Meet & Greet with Eric.
The event will be on Sunday November 27th,
afternoon and evening.

First, 2 weeks prior to our expo, the German KISS army (kissfanclub.de),
will have their annual Kiss expo with out friends of Kissin’time.
No special guests here, but this is going to be a great party nevertheless.
Check it out!
Also, Eric scheduled to appear at the Italian Kiss expo a week after ours.
Check out the great great poster they developed!

Last Friday, Ace on the Rocks visited a show of Japanese tribute band Makin’Love,
in downtown Tokyo – Japan.
We have been in touch with Makin’Love for many years now,
but this was the first actual show we were able to see.
And what a show it was… the greatest baddest tribute band in Asia!

This Friday, our Demon on the Rocks,
will perform together with our good friends of SSIK.
Unfortunately the reason for this is not super-cool,
their Demon has been hospitalized recently.
Of course, we help out a well befriended tribute band.
In fact, the entire KISS on the RockS band,
will be there to support SSIK on the Rocks!

SSIK on the RockS
Last night KISS on the RockS set Veenendaal on fire,
with their yearly Halloween gig at the ESCAPE in Veenendaal.
We had a blast, also very much thanks to the crew of the ESCAPE,
thank you all.
But foremost we would like to say thanks,
to all the KISS fans there,
for supporting KOTR and make it fun to play over and over again.
You where great with and without the Halloween make-up, you Rocked ;-)
So see you all at the KISS Expo,

We are One !
KISS expo Holland – Eric Singer
Yesterday was one of the best days in our life.
Eric Singer and Kissonline came over to attend,
our Kiss expo in ATAK Enschede.
It was an amazing event!
The 400+ fans that attended the event got to meet Eric,
get pictures and autographs, attend his Q&A,
and get the latest greatest merchandise from Kissonline.
Also, 2 halls of dealers offered a wide selection of vintage merchandise.
The evening was closed by a performance of KISS on the RockS.
Eric was amazing as always.
We spend the Saturday with him in Amsterdam and had lots of fun.
During the meet & greets on Sunday Eric made sure he got to see all his fans.
Those who were lucky enough to get one of the 75 VIP passes
(those were sold out in 48 hours months ago!)
got all their items signed and got their pictures,
taken by our own photographer as well as their own cameras.
But Eric insisted to also meet with everybody else in the house.
The wait for the regular tickets was a little longer,
but still Eric signed at least 2 items each.
Eric actually hang out at the venue longer than scheduled.
Not only did he want to make sure everyone was happy,
he also watched our show from backstage.
That got us a little nervous at first,
with the man himself watching over our shoulders from the side of the stage.
But it was so cool to perform with him there.
And yes, as you have spotted, we have a new Catman!
We started the show with our long time family member Bram,
who did the first 3 songs.
Bram will become a father again soon,
and his schedule won’t allow him to fit in the plans we have for 2012
(including a US tour of 5 cities! – more to come on that soon).
Bram insisted to do Eric’s All for the Glory,
and that was the last song he did with KISS on the RockS.
When leaving stage, Eric was there to great and congratulate him on the performance.
The best goodbye he could have every hoped for!
Our new Catman is Toni, probably known by many of you,
as the previous drummer for SSIK and KISS This.
Toni did an amazing job this evening,
and we look forward to a long lasting relationship with our new catman!

and many requests to do another one soon.
We already have some plans lined up, and they will (again) amaze you.

Hi Catpeople,
KISS and KISS on the RockS fans,
It is with pain in my heart to let you know,
that I will be leaving Kiss on the Rocks after 4 wonderful years.
This weekend I handed over my drumsticks and chair to Toni van Petten,
drummer extraordinaire, and the new Catman on the Rocks.
I will become a father again soon,
and therefore I can no longer give all the dedication,
and time needed for all 2012 KISS on the RockS activities.
Saying goodbye to friends hurts,
but to do it at a huge KISS expo,
surrounded by the KISS on the Rocks family,
was the best goodbye I could have hoped for.
And having my big inspirator Eric Singer there himself,
was more than I could have wished for.
Eric watched our show from stage right,
and after I left the stage after the first 3 songs
(last one was Eric’s All for the Glory!)
he gave me a big thumbs up and said ‘Well done!’ That was so cool.
Eric and I watched some more songs of the new KISS on the RockS.
A dream come true to watch the show with your idol.
Add to that all the time Eric spend with us backstage,
signing my KISS on the RockS bass drum skin,
pictures all over and you will understand this has been a night to never forget.
Besides Eric and Kissonline,
I would like to thank my brothers sisters of KISS on the RockS:
Rutger, Wim, Jean-Paul, Tattoo Hans,Bold Ed,
Jolanda,Janneke,Hans Kok, Rikk, Larry,Tamara and Evelyn,
who became like family for me.
I thank you so much for the wonderful times and great memories.
We lived it together! You are one of a kind, and very special to me.
I will miss you dearly but will of course be following,
KISS on the RockS and their activities closely.
No out of sight for this catman… I promise!

Wow, the expo was great, but the reactions via mail,
forums and social media afterwards were heartwarming !
Yes, it’s a lot of work to pull of such an event,
but we were very happy to do it for you.
Many thanks already went out to Eric, KISSonline, our crew,
but we also want to thank YOU: KISS Army Europe!
Without you, an event like this would be impossible.
It was great seeing so many happy faces.
We have already started planning some great events for 2012.

As you know, KISS drummer Eric Singer watched a large part,
of our show at the Kiss expo on November 27th.
He actually gave us the biggest present we could have ever hoped for,
doing the famous KISS ‘You wanted the best You got the best’ intro just for us, KISS on the RockS. Wow…

As you know, KISS drummer Eric Singer watched a large part,
of our show at the Kiss expo on November 27th.
He actually gave us the biggest present we could have ever hoped for,
doing the famous KISS ‘You wanted the best You got the best’ intro just for us, KISS on the RockS. Wow…
We receive many questions on our looks, and our outfits.
Thanks for all the compliments on that!
Well, obviously we wanted the best, so we got the best!
For our original outfits we travelled to Chicago,
to get them from a private museum that was closing down.
When our new Gene on the Rocks joined us in early 2011,
we updated our looks and renewed our contact,
with costume builder Barry Carr and his partner Jerry.
Barry build the custom to fit, and it turned out fantastic.
100% stage proof.
We actually worked on sizing and measurements via e-mail and phone exclusively.
Not only does it look fantastic, it fits great as well.
We believe that one of the reasons we are frequently featured on all the KISS websites,
and the reason why we are asked to do the key KISS events,
is also thanks to our looks.
Barry provides great service and our dealings with him,
including payment and delivery across the atlantic,
have been totally flawless.
Thank you Barry and Jerry!

KISS on the RockS Rocks the UK !
We're proud to show you some pictures from our first ever gig in the UK!
We had a great time in Rugby Warwickshire this weekend,
performing at Line 6's Christmas party last Friday.
A great party, well organized, dancing well dressed ladies all over,
what more can you ask for.
And how'bout for a Beatles tribute band to open for us?
Some great musician's at the party who joined us for some unplugged encores in the bar.
A big complement from Line 6 came in today:
'The show was total entertainment!
The crowd really loved it. Musically the band were outstanding.
Totally tight. A real professional performance. And great fun too.
I'm tempted to go and but a KISS album on the back of seeing KISS on the RockS!
I can heartily recommend KISS on The RockS to everyone.
They are stunning!'
